Miracle in Cell No.7

Miracle in cell is one of the best Korean movie in 2013 that attract the attention of many people because of the story is great and touching. This drama movie can make the audience cries. This movie tells about the father Lee Yong-Gu (Ryu Seung-ryong) who is very love and close with his daughter Ye sung (Kal so won).

Lee Yong-Gu is a 38 old man who has mentally handicapped, he is a father who love his daughter very much and would give anything for his daughter, Ye sung. Ye sung is 6 years old pretty girl but she doesn’t like another children. She manage everything that she and her father needs because her father has mentally handicapped. Someday Lee Yong-Gu involved in a case. He was prison because of allegations of sexual abuse and child abduction of a girl. The father of the dead girl is also the chief police commissioner. The girl was buy a Sailor moon bag that wanted by Ye sung. When Lee Yong-Gu was working, the commissioner’s daughter come to visit him to tell the shop which sell the same Sailor moon bag as desired by Ye sung. When they are on the way to the store, the girl had an accident and died, so that Yong-Gu was accused of being the killer though he is not guilty.

Yong-Gu was jailed and he got into the 7^th cell with another prisoner on it. In the beginning Yong-Gu’s cellmates treat him bad, but because he is a kind person then they treat Yong-Gu well. Those people are the source of the funny and give comedy material in this movie. Yong-Gu’s cellmates also help him to meet his daughter, so that Ye sung can meet her father in cell. That incident had known by head of jailer and Yong-Gu gets a heavy punishment. Young-Gu also make everyone around him realize that he is a kind person. This time he helps the head of jailer from the calamity and the head of jailor realize that he has wrong perception about Yong-Gu, he feels that he has an owe to Yong-Gu. The head of jailer try to find the truth and he found the fact that Yong-Gu absolutely not guilty.

The head of jailer and the 7^th cell prisoner help Yong-Gu to face the court his last decision but Yong-Gu still got death penalty. At the last seconds before the death execution Yong-Gu met and he said to his daughter that everything gonna be okay. Ye sung was very sad because she will lose his father forever. That scene has a deep impression and makes me drop my tears. Several years later Ye sung grow older (Park Shin Hye) and she was a lawyer.

This is a drama movie that pure and simple. It is the deep and palpable love keenly story between father and daughter or between Yong-Gu and his cellmates. This movie can be watched by all ages and have a lot of lessons. Although Yong-Gu has mentally handicapped but Ye sung still love and care to her father. Yong-Gu keep doing kind although at first he didn’t treat well. This movie can make you laugh and cry. Every emotional moments feels engineered to fill our hearts and make us cries. I think the miracle not come for Yong-Gu but it comes to his cellmates who become better people. Yong-Gu is a wonderful man and an even better father for Ye sung.

Unforgettable Moment

Health is Above Wealth

Every person must have experience or a valuable moment in their life. The moment could give happiness or sadness. We can have the lesson from every moment that we have done. I will tell one of my precious experience in my life. That is about when I was sick and had appendicitis surgery.

In the beginning of October 2012, I did a appendicitis surgery. At the first I often felt a stomachache and it was really hurt. While I got stomachache I couldn’t do anything. The pain getting stronger day after day and it came immediately, it was very painful. My mom suggested to see  the surgeon because she was afraid of my condition. I decide to see the doctor in Awal Bros Hospital Bekasi. While the doctor examined me, I didn’t have the characteristic of appendicitis disease. Then, I was suggested to do an x-ray to make sure about the disease. In the next day I came to the hospital to did an x-ray. Then I showed the x-ray result to my doctor and he said that I got an appendicitis and must be immediately to undergo surgery and I felt shock. My mom agreed directly to undergo surgery as soon as possible because in that time I was in the 3^rd class in Senior High School and I would do an National Examination. 

Two days later I was hospitalized in the same hospital. This is the first time in my life that I should be hospitalize and should do a surgery. I felt so afraid in that time. After checkup, finally I did undergo surgery. In that day my family came to the hospital. I felt afraid because this is my first time in my life did a surgery. Some of the nurses brought me to entered the surgery room. All of the medical staff who was there used a green surgery clothes included me. The nurses were very kind. Then my surgeon came and the appendicitis surgery was beginning, I slept because of anesthetic effect. After one hour left, I woke up because I was not totally anesthetized. I saw the light of operation lamps, it was very bright and the music song from the radio. Tthere was any medical equipments beside me, then I slept again and the appendicitis surgery was over. I brought to the room which is located near by the surgery room. I didn’t feel any pain because of anesthetic effect. Then, I was brought again to the patient room. I felt pain in my stomach because the influence of anesthetic was gone. The pain getting worst when I laugh and cough. Although I still feel the pain, but I feel happy because my family and my friends come to see my condition. I very grateful cause many people care to me. Besides the pain of laugh and cough, I also couldn’t walk properly. I need anyone to help me to walk. After 4 days being hospitalized, my condition became better and I could back to my home. My doctor suggested me for took a rest as long as 7 days for health recovery. 

After my condition getting better, I decided to go to school. In that time I was in the 3^rd class in Senior High School and I have a lot of activities. My condition became drop again. Then, my mom take me to the same hospital. I was hospitalized again, it is exactly 2 weeks after I’m being back from the hospital. Apparently I got typhus disease, it is also the first time in my life. This is the 2^nd time in October 2012 I stayed in hospital. I spent my time as long as a week in hospital and I felt pain and I’m so sad. I hope it is the first and the last time in my life.

I can take any wisdom from this case, I should be more grateful and closer to Allah SWT. More grateful for everything that Allah have been given to me. A lot of favors that Allah had given for us but sometimes we are unaware of it. I also should be closer to Allah. In the beginning I felt sad and mad, but I was wrong in contrary Allah loved me very much. I realize that health is more precious than everything.

My Idol

The quote above is one of my favorite quote. The quote which created by my idol, Mario Teguh. Mario Teguh is one of popular motivator in Indonesia. He should be a good motivator cause he has good  talent. I think everyone need motivation for their live. Motivation is important for us to motivating ourselves to be better people. Mario Teguh has a television program in one of Indonesia television station. The name of his TV program is Mario Teguh Golden Ways. That program special  for give motivation for people. He always give the best motivation in his TV program. Every motivation which he gave could motivate many people, included me. When I listen or read his quotes it can make me feel calm and try to be a better person. Everyone have problem in their live and I think they need motivation, so they can behave their problem well. Mario Teguh is simple and wise person. I like the way how he give the motivation. His motivation give good effect for me, especially when I’m in bad feeling. He always remind people to always be grateful. Based on the quote above, Mario said that we should learn from our past, be grateful today, so that we have gleaming day tomorrow. Everyone have the past, the good or bad past. From the past that we have done we can get the wisdom and lesson from it. Mario is also said to always be grateful. We should be thankful for what we have today cause we have no idea how many people would love to have what we’ve got. If we always be thankful, we should get better day tomorrow. The real name of Mario Teguh is Sis Maryono Teguh. He was born in Makassar, March 5^th  1956. Beside as a motivation he is also a consultant. He has one wife and two children. In 2010 he was received the award from Indonesia Record Museum as a motivator with the largest Facebook fan page in Indonesia. Okaay, there are several things about my idol, thank you J

Celebrating World Book Day 2015

On Thursday, April 23^rd 2015 Student Executive Board (BEM) from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Jenderal Soedirman held a donate books activity #1BOOK1SMILE for country kids smile. This activity was held at Secretariat (sekre) of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

This event was held in order to celebrate World Book Day 2015. World Book Day is also known as International Day of the book is an annual event on April 23^rd. It is on this date in 1616 that Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died.

World Book Day was celebrated for the first time on April, 23^rd 1995. It was a natural choice for UNESCO’s General Conference, held in Paris in 1995, to pay a worldwide tribute to books and authors on this date. This memorial day is to promote reading, publishing, and copyright.

Universitas Jenderal Soedirman students can participate in this event by donating one or more notebook. In addition to notebook, the students can also donate the reading books, such as fairy tale book, science book, social book etc. If there are many students who participated in this activity, then there will be a lot of books that can be donated. All of the reading books that accumulated will be donated to Taman Baca Masyarakat (Society Colportage) that located in the vicinity of Purwokerto, Central Java. Meanwhile, for the notebook will be distributed to children who are around Taman Baca Masyarakat.

This activity is one of the social action organized by BEM Faculty of Economics and Business to increase interest in reading, especially for children. These books will be very useful for them. Reading is the window of the world, various information can be obtained by reading. Read a lot means a lot of open horizons of knowledge. People who love to read will have more confidence because they have a lot of knowledge. 

My Journey

Hiii, this is my third post in my blog! I want to write my experience when I do a journey. Last holiday, I went to Floating Market, Lembang Bandung, West Java with my family. Floating Market is one of the natural tourism which have fabulous view and exciting culinary concept. Floating Market has an area of about 7 hectare. My family and I departed from Bekasi at 7 a.m by car. The route to Lembang quite smoothly, we arrived at the place of our destination 3 hours later.

When we arrived, we had to buy the entrance ticket in advance. The ticket which I bought is also be exchange to get a free welcome drink. There are three kinds of welcome drinks, such as coffee, tea and soft drinks. When I was entered, I saw a beautiful lake. The lake is in the middle and we can walk around it. I saw several small boats which are passed on the lake. I walked around the lake and I found some restaurant, such as Sundanese restaurant, Italian restaurant etc. The view of the lake is very beautiful. Many people took pictures in that place. There are many great spots to take pictures.

After I walked about 5 minutes, I found the second lake. Unlike the first lake, this lake filled of about 40 boats which sell the food. A wide variety of foods available in that boats. The boats located on the banks of the lake, so it made easier the visitor to buy the food. I bought bakpao which has a form like an animal from one of that boats. We can enjoy the view of the lake while ate the food on the table and benches are already available. This place is also have children’s games arena such as flying fox, ATV, water bicycle, fishing eels etc.

Well, I continued to walk around the lake. My family and I took some pictures with the beautiful view. I really like this place, I can enjoy a very cool air and awesome sight. Then, I also take a boat with my family. We could enjoyed the view with different sensation. After take a boat, we continued walking around the edge of the lake. I visited one of merchandise store. I bought some merchandise in that store. Finally I had go back to home with my family. All the things that I do here is quite impressive and I love it. Hello, welcome to my blog. This is my first post in my blog. My name is Restika Virgina, you can call me resti or igin. I was born in Jakarta 19 years ago. I have two brothers and no sister. Watching movie and reading novel are my hobbies. Because I like reading novel, sometimes I want to write novel, but I need more learn to do it. I’m a student in English Diploma Program Faculty of Humanities, Jenderal Soedirman University. I was born in Jakarta, but I live in Bekasi for 17 years. Now, I stayed in lodging house in Karangwangkal, Purwokerto Central Java. I never think before if I will stay in Purwokerto. Previously, I wanted to continue my study in Bandung West java, but God has another plan. I’m  grateful of it, I enjoy study and stay in Purwokerto.

Well, I made this blog to publish my activity and creativity in Creative Writing. I hope everyone who read this blog can get an inspiration. I will post poems, articles and others. Okay, I think that’s all about me and thank you for visiting my blog!
